Transform your RO water into a revitalizing source of hydration with our Mineral Mixture. This premium, food-grade powder is a precision-engineered blend of the four essential electrolytes: Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, and Sodium.
Designed to counteract the “hollow” or acidic nature of pure RO-treated water, this mixture restores the vital minerals your body needs while perfecting the water’s flavor profile.
This is a food-grade blend of essential minerals—typically Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, and Sodium in powder form. It is designed to be dissolved and dosed into RO-treated water to improve its nutritional profile, balance the pH, and enhance the taste.
Restores Health Benefits: Re-introduces essential minerals that are lost during the RO process, making the water healthier to drink.
Taste Enhancement: Pure RO water can sometimes taste “flat” or bitter. Adding minerals gives the water a “sweet” and refreshing natural taste.
pH Balancing: RO water is usually slightly acidic ($pH$ 5.5 – 6.5). This mineral mixture helps neutralize the water, bringing it to an alkaline or neutral $pH$ (7.0 – 8.5).
Prevents Pipe Corrosion: De-mineralized (hungry) water can be corrosive to copper or SS pipes. Adding minerals makes the water “stable” and less aggressive toward plumbing.
Cost-Effective: Using a powder concentrate is much cheaper than buying pre-mixed mineral solutions.
Since this is a powder, it cannot be added directly to the RO line. It must be converted into a liquid solution first.
Preparation of Stock Solution: Mix a specific amount of the Mineral Powder (e.g., 100g or as per manufacturer’s ratio) into a tank filled with RO Product Water.
Stirring: Stir thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved. Ensure no sediments remain at the bottom.
Dosing: Use a Dosing Pump to inject this liquid mineral solution into the RO product line (the line that goes to the final storage tank).
Monitoring (TDS Check): Measure the TDS of the water before and after dosing. Adjust the dosing pump speed to reach your desired final TDS (usually between 50 ppm to 120 ppm for drinking water).
Solubility Issues: If the powder is not high-quality or not stirred properly, it can settle at the bottom of the dosing tank, leading to inconsistent mineral levels in the water.
Risk of Over-dosing: If the dosing pump is not calibrated correctly, the TDS might become too high, making the water taste salty or metallic.
White Scaling: If Calcium levels are set too high, you might notice white scaling in tea kettles or containers when the water is boiled.
Storage: The powder is “hygroscopic” (absorbs moisture). If the bag is left open, the powder will turn into hard lumps.
Because you are using Only Mineral Powder, make sure the water you use to dissolve it is agitated (stirred) well. Some minerals like Calcium Carbonate take time to dissolve completely.
