Achieve medical-grade sterilization with our Silver-Stabilized Germicide, a high-level oxidizing biocide that offers a “double-shield” of protection. This advanced formula combines the immediate microbial-killing power of Hydrogen Peroxide with the long-lasting residual protection of Silver Ions.
It is the perfect solution for those seeking a powerful disinfectant that leaves behind zero toxic residues, taste, or odor.
This is a high-level disinfectant and oxidizing biocide. It works through a synergistic effect: Hydrogen Peroxide provides immediate oxidation to kill microbes, and Silver ions provide a long-lasting barrier that keeps the water sterile for a longer duration. It is colorless, odorless, and breaks down into just water and oxygen.
Eco-Friendly: It is completely biodegradable. Unlike Chlorine, it does not leave toxic residues or a bad smell/taste in the water.
Broad Spectrum: Effective against a wide range of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and even tough spores that Chlorine cannot kill.
Biofilm Removal: It is excellent at penetrating and “peeling off” the slimy bio-film layers inside pipelines and storage tanks.
Non-Carcinogenic: It does not produce harmful by-products like THMs (Trihalomethanes), which are often caused by Chlorine.
High Stability: The addition of Silver Nitrate makes the Hydrogen Peroxide stable even at higher water temperatures.
Since this is a very strong oxidizer, it must be handled with care.
Mix the chemical into your CIP tank (typically a 1% to 2% solution).
Circulate it through the RO system for 30–60 minutes.
Let it soak for 2–4 hours for a complete “Deep Sterilization.”
For Pipeline/Tank Disinfection:
Add the solution to the storage tank and let it stand. No rinsing is required if used at very low concentrations (food-grade levels).
For Continuous Dosing:
It can be dosed into the product water line using a dosing pump to maintain sterility in the distribution system (typically 10–25 ppm).
Corrosive to Skin: In concentrated form, it can cause white chemical burns on the skin (due to $H_2O_2$) and black stains on skin/surfaces (due to $AgNO_3$ reacting with light).
Membrane Sensitivity: Like Chlorine, High concentrations of Hydrogen Peroxide can damage Thin-Film Composite (TFC) RO membranes over time. It should be used for short cleaning bursts or at very low dosing levels.
Light Sensitive: Because it contains Silver Nitrate, the concentrated liquid should be stored in dark, opaque (non-see-through) containers to prevent the silver from reacting with light.
Silver Nitrate reacts with light and salt. If you spill it on your hands, you will see black spots appear after a few hours—don’t panic, they will fade as your skin naturally exfoliates, but it’s best to wear gloves!
